STAR GAZING @ KNIGHT

The Vegas Golden Knights will be rolling into Dallas to finish off their last 3 game road trip of the season. The Knights came away with a win in a tight-played game thanks to some empty netters by Schmidty and Nabber. It was the game that sparked a 6-game win streak for the Knights and the Stars put together 4 in a row and splitting the next 2.

Bishop has been nothing short (pun intended – Have you seen this dude?!) of amazing; this 6'7" monster clocks in at 6’10" on skates has had 3 shutouts in his last 3 starts. Bishop’s shutouts came against the Rangers, Avalanche, and the Sabers. Which isn't saying much but a shutout is a shutout and don't come easy. Every game for Dallas at this point is a must win. Dallas is looking to jump ahead of the Blues for the 3rd spot in the Central Division. I am sure Dallas doesn't want to risk the chance of slipping behind and becoming the 2nd Wildcard team, which at this point would have to face the Sharks in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Knights hot streak in the Stone Age has been something that has been long awaited and oh so fun to watch. The Knights kicked off this winning streak with a revived forecheck and of course newest noble Knight, Sir Mark Stone. Marc Andre Fleury has won in his last 5 starts; 2 of which were shutouts against the Ducks and the Canucks. Flower has faced 142 SOG only letting in 4 giving him a .971 save percentage over the last 5 games. It is safe to say he has been on fire.

Over the short history of the Vegas Golden Knights, Bishop has started every game played with a record of 1-4. Although this record doesn’t give him any justice. His play has been great with a .947 save percentage. In the first game of Golden Knights history the Dallas Stars opened with an emotional pregame ceremony. In a show of absolute class and brilliant sportsmanship, the Dallas Stars stood with the Vegas Golden Knights in honor of all who were affected by the Route 91 shooting. Bishop came out in this game providing a wall for Dallas in front of the net but was later pulled from the game due to a shot getting under his mask. He was a perfect 19 for 19 that game but the Knights would go on to win the game 2-1. The next game against the Knights he would show up to Fortress with a vengeance; getting the first ever shutout in history against the Knights and Radek Faksa would get the first ever hat trick in T-Mobile Arena. The Knights would have the last laugh in the 17-18 season series winning the game 5-3. Bishop would finish the 17-18 season series with a .962 save percentage stopping 77 out of 80 shots. Marc Andre Fleury was only in net for the 1st of 3 games against Dallas, making Fleury 1-0 against Bishop last year. This year Flower has been planted in net for both games this season against Bishop extending his personal record as a Knight to 3-0. The Knights make these match ups look a little lopsided with a combined score of 8 to 3 but save percentages this season tell a different story with Flower at .937 and Bishop is .931.

The Stars will play in Minnesota today at 5pm. The Knights might not get a chance to face Bishop again this season depending on who starts against the Wild. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bishop go back to back games and then taking a 4 day break. These next two games are very important for Dallas and they will need to be at their absolute best. If the Stars lose these next two and the ‘Yotes and the Wild keep winning this could push them out of playoff position. Expect Dallas to play desperate and hard. I will be looking forward to watching these teams play as they will be fighting for the playoffs.

FULL DRAFT FOR THE RAIDERS

The Raiders with the 4th overall pick drafted Clemson's DE Clelin Ferrell a player projected to be a middle first round pick. The Raider had the least amount of sacks in the league this last year. He is consisted a high character guy. He was red shirted his freshman year in college due to a torn ACL in high school. His 3 years in college he did not miss a game and had 27 sacks. Last year he tallied up 11.5 sacks during the National Championship run for Clemson. This may not be what Raiders fans want at the number 4 pick BUT this may be what the Raiders need a good piece to help with sacks and a high character guy to collect the big pay check for a high first round pick. He shows no quit and has a good work ethic in college and a strong family with a military background. This type of behavior can be a contagious for a locker room in the NFL. He was number #2 on the Raiders draft board 2nd to only Nick Bosa. The Raiders with the 24th pick select running back Josh Jacobs form...

GAME 7 END GAME FOR THE KNIGHTS

Game 7 was a faceoff between the Knights and the Sharks that solidified a rivalry that's been building.  The Knights started out a minute 58 into the game with a Colin Miller hooking call to put the Sharks on a early power play. The Knights PK held the Sharks to no shots. 19 seconds after the Knights came through on the PK McNabb was called for a weak crosscheck to put the Sharks right back on the power play. The Knight's PK and MAF came through in a team effort to kill off the penalty. With just over 10minutes into the 1st William Karlsson scored the first goal on a nice little chip-in goal assisted by Reilly Smith and Marchessault. The Knights went on their first PP of the game but momentum was cut short by Tuch with an interference on Braun. It was weak call as Tuch was getting back on sides a barely bumped Braun. The Sharks took their time with the puck on the 4 on 4 to get to their power play. The Knights PK came through again. The Period ended 1-0 Knights. The sec...
