SUUUUUB!!!

The Knights came out fighting. . .  literally as Mark Stone laid a hit on Blake Wheeler, gloves went flying immediately and these two went at it. Wheeler landed a couple of punches and pulled Stone to the ground. Stone snuck in a nice rabbit punch to finish things off as the referees broke it up. They were both hit with a 5 minute major. Not even a full minute later, William Karlsson got a lucky goal from the side of the net on Laurent Brossoit. The goal was assisted by Nick Holden and Jon Merrill. At 8 mintues and 26 seconds into the 1st Paul Stastny got a nice takeaway off Joe Morrow in the Knights offensive zone and quickly assisted Reilly Smith with a  sweet sweet goal. Smith's goal came with a little a toe drag as Joe Morrow tried to recover the turnover by laying in front of  Smith but with great patience Smith took his time "as quick as he can" to take a quality shot to bank his 16th goal of the season! The Knights played hard with an awesome forecheck and didn't give an inch to the Jets in the offensive zone for the first period. The Jets would get 10 shots on goal in the first but all shots would come from Subban's right hand side. The Knights had 13 SOG. Max Pacioretty went  down in the 1st period. It was a pretty scary looking fall; you can see him scream out in pain as he tweaked his leg on the boards. He made his way to the bench and did not return to the game. Praying to the hockey gods that Patch is ok.

The Jets started the 2nd period off on a power play that carried over from the 1st. It was killed off but shortly after Ryan Reaves was called for interference on Patrik Laine. The Knights went the on the penalty kill and Tomas Nosek would come through with a short handed goal assisted by Stastny (2). The Knights chased Laurent Brossoit outta the net after putting WPG down 3-0. This is the 2nd time in two games and the 6th time this season where the Knights have chased off the starting goaltender. He may have been injured on the one of the plays before. The Jets brought in Connor Hellebuyck. Hellebuych shutout the Ducks the previous night.   He gave the Jets a little bit of hope for about 12 minutes and then the Vegas Golden Knights 1st line happened . . .  with goals in 44 sec apart. The first goal came from Reilly Smith (2) assisted by Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson. The 2nd goal came unassisted from William Karlsson (2). Ending the 2nd 5-0.

Sin Bin Las Vegas reported on twitter during the 2nd intermission; Max Pacioretty would not return to the game and has left T-Mobile arena.

The 3rd period went on to be an excellent display of great defensive play from the Golden Knights.  Malcom Subban recorded his 1st NHL shutout; giving VGK fans free donuts! He finished the game with 20 saves. 10 in the 1st, 6 in the 2nd, and 4 in the 3rd. Reilly Smith registered his 23rd point in the last 19 games, making him the hottest player on the Golden Knights. Wild Bill scored his 22nd  goal this season. The Knights have 5 or more goals in their last 3 games having 18 total! The first line has combined for 10 goals and 12 assists over the last 3. When facing the Sharks and the Jets IF they were to beat the Golden Knights would have clinched a playoff spot. The Knights are now on a 4 game winning streak and 6 straight wins at home. With this win they moved ahead of the Arizona Coyotes by 11 points and only 5 points behind the Sharks with 8 games to go.

Strap in, kids. It's shaping up to be a wild ride!!! 3 STARS OF THE KNIGHT!!! 1st STAR MALCOM SUBBAN 20 SAVES 1.000 SV% 2nd STAR REILLY SMITH 2 GOALS 3rd STAR WILLIAM KARLSSON 2 GOALS, 1 ASSIST

FULL DRAFT FOR THE RAIDERS

The Raiders with the 4th overall pick drafted Clemson's DE Clelin Ferrell a player projected to be a middle first round pick. The Raider had the least amount of sacks in the league this last year. He is consisted a high character guy. He was red shirted his freshman year in college due to a torn ACL in high school. His 3 years in college he did not miss a game and had 27 sacks. Last year he tallied up 11.5 sacks during the National Championship run for Clemson. This may not be what Raiders fans want at the number 4 pick BUT this may be what the Raiders need a good piece to help with sacks and a high character guy to collect the big pay check for a high first round pick. He shows no quit and has a good work ethic in college and a strong family with a military background. This type of behavior can be a contagious for a locker room in the NFL. He was number #2 on the Raiders draft board 2nd to only Nick Bosa. The Raiders with the 24th pick select running back Josh Jacobs form...

GAME 7 END GAME FOR THE KNIGHTS

Game 7 was a faceoff between the Knights and the Sharks that solidified a rivalry that's been building.  The Knights started out a minute 58 into the game with a Colin Miller hooking call to put the Sharks on a early power play. The Knights PK held the Sharks to no shots. 19 seconds after the Knights came through on the PK McNabb was called for a weak crosscheck to put the Sharks right back on the power play. The Knight's PK and MAF came through in a team effort to kill off the penalty. With just over 10minutes into the 1st William Karlsson scored the first goal on a nice little chip-in goal assisted by Reilly Smith and Marchessault. The Knights went on their first PP of the game but momentum was cut short by Tuch with an interference on Braun. It was weak call as Tuch was getting back on sides a barely bumped Braun. The Sharks took their time with the puck on the 4 on 4 to get to their power play. The Knights PK came through again. The Period ended 1-0 Knights. The sec...
