GAME 5 KNIGHTS HEADING BACK TO THE FORTRESS



The Knights and the Sharks faced off in game 5 with the Sharks taking a page out of the Knights book by scoring the first goal of the game in 1 minute and 16 seconds in. Tomas Hertl was assisted by Erik Karlsson and Gustav Nyquist. The Knights stayed hungry to get things tied up but the Sharks played good, disciplined defense with getting blocked shots and takeaways. The Sharks capitalized with a goal from Logan Couture assisted by Erik Karlsson (2) and Timo Meier. The Knights kept pushing and the Sharks stayed on point with defensive play and a disciplined game until Kane was called for a high stick on Smith with a minute 43 left in the period. The Knights got the power play goal off a bad bounce off Erik Karlsson skate into Jones for the goal. Smith was credited with a goal and Miller and Wild Bill with the apples. The period ended 2-1 Sharks. The Knights looked good with 12 shots on goal to the Sharks 6. The Sharks came away with 7 blocked shots and 9 takeaways. The Knights had 2 blocked shots and 4 takeaways. 

The Knights and the Sharks both came out flat in the 2nd. The Knights were not able to get an offensive possession and the Sharks not about to get a shot on goal until almost 5 minutes in. Just over 7 minutes in the Knights McNabb was called for holding Couture. The Knights held the Sharks to only 2 shots on goal and block 2 of the Sharks shots. With 7:38 left in the period The Sharks Goodrow would score to put the Sharks up 3-1. Braun and Ryan were credited with the assists. 1 minute and 22 seconds after the Sharks goal Pacioretty was called for tripping Meier. About a minute into the PP the Knights PK showed up big with MAF getting a couple of big saves losing his stick and McNabb diving across the crease to block a point-blank shot on goal from Couture. The period was closed out 3-1 Sharks up. The Knights only had 6 shots on goal and the Sharks having 12 evening things up with both teams having 18 shots on goal for the game. The Knights defensive play stepped it up with 11 blocked shots and the Sharks not having much to block with only 3 in the 2nd. The Knights had 6 takeaways and the Sharks 5. The Sharks had 4 giveaways and the Knights had 0. 

The Knights came into the 3rd with 8 shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of the period Trying to get back into the game. Erik Karlsson was called for tripping William Karlsson. The Knights power play came through with a big goal from Marchessault assisted by Karlsson (2) and Miller (2). The Knights had some new hope. The Knights Karlsson had a break on the net along side Smith. Karlsson got the pass of to Smith but Martin Jones made save to keep the Sharks in the in the lead. With just under 7 minutes left in the period Colin Miller lost his stick on the play and would show great tenacity by getting in front of the net to block a shot by Bret Burns. With 5 minute and  30 seconds left Marchessault was called for a high stick on Logan Couture. The VGK announcers said it only hit his face guard and the Sharks tweeted a picture titled the puck don't lie (Yes, those are Couture's teeth on the ice from the high stick). The Sharks scored 15 seconds into the power play Hertl got his second goal of the night assisted by Thornton and Pavelski. The Sharks closed out the game with a empty net goal from Pavelski assisted by Kane. The Knights had 14 shots on goal and the Sharks 11. They matched up even inn every other category except the Sharks came out a little more physical in the 3rd with 13 hits to the Knights 7. 

The Sharks came into this game 0-6 in playoff series facing elimination. The Knights will go into the game will be going into game 6 having another chance to close things out. The Knight have not yet closed out a series in T-Mobile Arena. The Knights have a two days to get their 5 on 5 game back on point to and avoid going to a game 7. Multiple reports after and during the game with Knights fans around The SAP center. A grandmother left the game with her 9 year old grandson after being heckled and a video posted by Vince Sapienza as a drunkard woman harassed some Knights fans before ushers and security got involved.

FULL DRAFT FOR THE RAIDERS

The Raiders with the 4th overall pick drafted Clemson's DE Clelin Ferrell a player projected to be a middle first round pick. The Raider had the least amount of sacks in the league this last year. He is consisted a high character guy. He was red shirted his freshman year in college due to a torn ACL in high school. His 3 years in college he did not miss a game and had 27 sacks. RAIDERS PICK TRAYVON MULLEN

The Raiders started off the 2nd day of the draft trading back their 35th pick for a Jacksonville's 38th pick. Also in this trade to Jacksonville the Raiders moved their 140th pick and the 240th pick for Jacksonville's 109th pick. The Raiders traded back once again moving Jacksonville's 38th pick to Buffalo for the Bills 40th and 158th pick getting back their a 5th round pick they traded away in the Jacksonville trade. The Raiders moved back 5 picks in the second round. Moved back 18 picks in the 5th round. Traded a 7th pick for a early fourth round pick.  THE 8th PICK IN THE 2nd ROUND CB TRAYVON MULLEN The Raiders add to their defensive backfield with the 40th overall pick in the 2019 draft with Trayvon Mullen. GAME 7 END GAME FOR THE KNIGHTS

Game 7 was a faceoff between the Knights and the Sharks that solidified a rivalry that's been building.  The Knights started out a minute 58 into the game with a Colin Miller hooking call to put the Sharks on a early power play. The Knights PK held the Sharks to no shots. 19 seconds after the Knights came through on the PK McNabb was called for a weak crosscheck to put the Sharks right back on the power play. The Knight's PK and MAF came through in a team effort to kill off the penalty. With just over 10minutes into the 1st William Karlsson scored the first goal on a nice little chip-in goal assisted by Reilly Smith and Marchessault. The Knights went on their first PP of the game but momentum was cut short by Tuch with an interference on Braun. It was weak call as Tuch was getting back on sides a barely bumped Braun.
